Conclusion

(Michael) - I was able to learn about how Daiichi Sankyo uses information systems to run their company. It’s interesting how applications I use every day like Microsoft Outlook can be such an important factor while running a company. I truly think if Daiichi Sankyo continues to prioritize its communication through Microsoft Teams and Outlook.com or Apple iMessage as I recommended then everyone involved in the sale of their products will be up to date and well informed on the statuses of shipments.

(Nick) - Before this project, I had no idea what Daiichi Sankyo was, let alone how some of the inner workings of a company like it go on. I was able to learn what various information systems do and how they apply to companies such as Daiichi Sankyo. Whether they are complicated or simple, the information systems used by their employees are a key component of the processes that happen daily at the company. The use of these information systems is very important and makes those processes more effective and efficient as a result. 

(Desi) - Learning about what this company was about and the fundamental practices being used such as their various information systems, made me realize how important information systems are within a business process. These information systems such as LinkedIn, I was able to understand why Daiichi Sankyo chose to use this for its business processes. 

(Jeff) - Working for Daiichi Sankyo has been an amazing opportunity for me and my future career. This project has allowed me to further learn what goes into a successful global corporation and I find myself noticing the various MIS we use daily. Without MIS the way we work would be completely different, MIS allows us to work as a global corporation in real time making communication across the globe instantaneously.

(Lauren) - Researching Daiichi Sankyo has been a really interesting and fun experience. Before we started, I had never heard of Daiichi nor did I have any knowledge about pharmaceuticals. Learning about the various information systems used to maintain a global pharmaceutical company was insightful. These systems ensure smooth operations and efficiency for all parties involved and allow them to grow to become the company they are today.
